Perspective: Have some faith in yourself

Wednesday, 25 April 2012

Dearest blog readers. I write to you on the brink of a new ad(venture). I wanted to type venture, but that sounds so businessy and nothing of what I am going forth with doing. So I am off on a new journey. After reading my friend Ana's post on perspective in one of her blog talks the other day, I started feeling uneasy about things. Truth is, I have started many new and exciting things this year and I need some time off blogging.  I have neglected the blog this year and it has affected the overall blog personality and integrity. So we need a break. Me and the blog. Not me and you.

I will be back in a month or two. I do hope you come back and visit then. I need all the help I can get to get the new stuff going. I appreciate all the support you have provided me. I encourage everyone reading this to have some faith in themselves. Take a leap this year. Do something new. Do something you've always wanted to do. But most of all go after your dreams. Don't let that niggly naysayer in your mind win. Kill doubt. Slay self-doubt, smother it with a pillow at night. Guard the people that believe in you and cut the people that don't, out of your life.

I think I am not alone when I say I am generally afraid of taking risks. Not the type of lame risks like drinking milk past the expiry date. The one's that involve me and my dreams. The type of risks that you make you daydream, but push them out of your mind, thinking you are crazy for imagining it in the first place. It is so scary and for months I oscillated back and forth contemplating what could go wrong. I have faith now.

Now I will not leave you alone. Here are some people you should visit while I am gone:

See you soon. Much love.
