Cranberry and White Chocolate Scones

Sunday, 15 April 2012

If you're thinking this post is a gourmet recipe, you're sadly mistaken. Truth be known, my time has been limited in the kitchen lately. I'm so busy with stuff, that most of the things I cook and eat are limited to a twenty minute preparation time.

This "recipe" is inspired by a trip to New York I took a few years ago. I stayed at a hotel very close to Central Park and on my walk every morning I would stop at Starbucks for coffee. The one morning I bought a scone that would change my life forever. It was the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. A Cranberry and White Chocolate Scone. Honestly I pine after them ever now and again, but have never attempted to make them.

Until now.

You need:
- A pack of scone mix (I used the Woolies scone mix pack)
- 80g of cranberries
- 100g of white baking chocolate

Method:
Place the dry ingredients with the cranberries and white chocolate into a bowl. Follow the rest of the instructions on the box, including cooking times.

As you can see I forgot about my scones in the oven, and they are a bit brown on top. But, they tasted similar to the originals and hit my sweet spot. Try them out and let me know what you think!

This recipe is so delicious! Everyone would surely love to taste it. Just make sure to brush your teeth well after eating this chocolate scones so you won't get toothaches. Otherwise you might end up having an appointment with the dentists from Champaign IL.
