The 2012 Light Festival in Ghent, Belgium drew over half a million visitors to the Luminaire De Cagne LED-light display. Luminaire De Cagna became the main attraction of the festival that included more than 30 other displays and exhibitions. The display is constructed out of wood and covered with 55 000 LED lights. It reaches 28 metres into the sky above Belfortstraat, the Romanesue cathedral. Luminaire De Cagne used only 20 kWj of energy and is an Italian family business. The family have created light displays since 1930.
