The other great creative that the world has lost…

Lucian Freud died at the age of 88 on Wednesday. Lucian was the grandson of the psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud. He was known for his nude portraits.  Lucian Freud had the talent of making every one of his sitters look at least slightly grotesque in their nudity, except for Queen Elizabeth II, whom he agreed to paint fully clothed (the palace insisted). The resulting artworks were unusual. He will be remembered as one of the greatest artists of the 20th and 21st century. I really enjoyed this article by the New York Times about his life, if you have some time, give it a squizz!
