10 Things

Monday, 11 April 2011

I have decided to add a few side projects to the blog. Originally I thought I would predominantly focus the blog on design, which is the love of my life and fire in my loins. However, I am not one dimensional.  Design is my passion, but many things make up good designers. Such as an awareness of trends, networking, exploring, studies in anthropology, reading, music, meeting people, travelling etc.

The first of many projects that will be featured on the blog is 10 Things. I have rethought this concept several times. However, I think I have now narrowed down the scope into something manageable and understandable.

10 Things. A short bio:
I sometimes visit a lady that could be compared to a psychologist. She is not a psychologist in the medical sense. Call it new age therapy, it fixes me and does what it needs to do.

Anyway, long story short, this woman always tells me to write lists. Like ten things I like about myself, ten things I would change in my life, ten people that make me happy and so on. So this is what started this fixation with ten. I don't know if ten with its binary combination is a sure fire way of burning your demons. I think I am still pretty much a nutter. So I decided to share my neurotic ways with the world. Anyone can do a list of 10 Things, anywhere in the world. Bloggers and non bloggers alike. Your 10 Things can range from 10 products you make and sell to 10 pairs of shoes you own and why you like them or even 10 of your friends. 10. Just 10. This is my 10 Things Post:
I have been very fortunate, for I have been able to visit many cities in the world at a very young age. I am extremely grateful for this has played a pivotal role in the formulating my character.

Usually when I go to a new city, I try to buy one thing (usually an accessory of some kind) to take home with me, as a sort of souvenir. Because of this, I have a huge number of pairs of earrings. I have never counted them all. I have too many to count. These are a few of my favorites from countries around the world.

1. Cape Town, South Africa
2. Colonia, Uruguay
3. Buenos Aires, Argentina
4. Venice, Italy
5. Sao Paulo, Brazil
6. Grand Canyon, United States of America
7. Singapore
8. Delhi, India
9. Paris, France
10. New York, United States of America

They are all so unique and special as each of the places listed above. I love traveling, don't you?

Love the idea. Will send you 10 things. Just waiting for sunshine in the evenings or time in the mornings so I can take pictures.
